We were looking for an Italian restaurant in Claremont and came upon this restaurant on Yelp. Based on the great reviews, we wanted to give it a try. This is a cozy small restaurant in Claremont, where inside seating can give you a view of the chef preparing your meal. It is perfect for a romantic meal or small gathering. The internal seating area reminded me of a small restaurant that we visited in Siena, Italy - the wooden furniture and display of spirits created a rustic ambience. Our server was great, attentive and explained the menu well. Reservations are highly recommended as this is a small restaurant in a very busy Claremont Village. The menu appears to change frequently based on what today's menu was compared to what was posted on Yelp. It would behoove you to order your meal (appetizer, first and second dish, and desert) together in order for the chef to time your meal. We tried their salad (excellent flavor), spicy polenta was amazing, and the bread and butter was fresh and delicious. The pasta dish was fresh and the fish dish was well seasoned. The butterscotch desert was unique and delicious. The bread pudding was moist and sweet. We'll be coming back.

The menu is very limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. Make sure to make reservations or you're not getting in. We ordered the polenta for our appetizer and the bread and butter. We also ordered the rigatoni, pork, and flat iron steak. Again, everything was delicious cooked too perfection. The cocktails were delicious. One of my favorite parts was the fact that the bartender was above us and the drinks had to go through a elevator, they came down to the first floor and our server got them from a wooden door. This traditional Italian inspired cuisine is absolutely worth trying out. The restaurant is so cute with its historic building. The seating is also very limited. It's a very small restaurant with this small patio. But everything is decorated so nicely and you get to watch the Cooks Cook and the bartender make your cocktails. It's pretty incredible. Will definitely be back.

We had reservations for Friday night at 7:30. We showed up a few minutes before and were greeted and seated after a few minutes of waiting. We sat in the breezeway and not inside which is fine on a warm summer night. We ordered something from each section of the menu and we opted to share each dish. The portions are a bit smaller than we hoped but found everything to be delicious. By the end of the night, we added another appetizer right before dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'll say that the outdoor chairs are super uncomfortable. I'd like more support in the chairs for back support and padding on the bottom. But the atmosphere was nice so I won't hold it against them but be warned if you are sensitive to back pain.

As you can see, the food was exceptional. We ate every little morsel on the plate. Martin and all of the staff were so knowledgeable, kind, and made the experience exceptional. The food was DELICIOUS. We had the bread and butter, green beans, rigatoni, one pork entree, and another pasta. I will definitely be coming back.

Wow, wow, wow !!! What a lovely place. This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the village. Nothing beats the bread with the salted butter or those crispy potato's. It is so charming with its decor and ambience, if I had a date, this is where I would want him to wine and dine me!
